In roadway and highway design, CALTRAN has been involved in drainage, tolling facilities and systems, large guide signs, dynamic message signs, signing and pavement markings, ITS, roadway lighting, and traffic control.

CALTRAN has experience in Project Management Oversight; Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) processing and revision; construction phase services; Resurfacing, Restoration, and Rehabilitation (RRR) work; Roadway Design of New Construction, Reconstruction and Widening; Planning and Environmental; and Hydraulic & Hydrology on Design-Build (DB) and Design-Bid-Build projects.
