CALTRAN’s planning projects are statistics analysis, corridor studies, and multimodal improvements to address existing and future mobility needs, including transit. CALTRAN evaluations have taken into account the implementation of traffic calming, dedicated transit lanes, on and off-road bike lanes, signalized crosswalks and lane elimination, and micro-mobility among other improvements, to provide non-motorized traffic the highest priorities and additional transportation options and resiliency.
